Smith and Jones

Well, it was good but Martha and the Doctor didn't have the chemistry that he and Rose did.

I really liked the episode. And yeah, even though in an article it was said that the chemistry between Martha and 10 would 'rival' the chemistry between Rose and 10, I really don't see it.

BUT, I really like Martha as the new companion. It's almost like she's the new asexual friend who will only help the Doctor progress as a person/alien/Time Lord away from the painful memory that is Rose.

So I guess what I'm trying to say is that Martha and the Doctor relationship, to me, will be more of a buddy buddy friendship, as seen when first in the TARDIS when Martha was starting to tease the Doctor, but then he went all 'no way kthnx bb'. Martha will probably call the Doctor out on a lot of stuff that she deems ridiculous. I think she'll be good for him, but not in a Rose way.

I got that he wasn't into her, and we don't know what the timeline is for him being w/o Rose but she was flirting with him at the end and he just brushed it off (which made me all giddy happy because I ♥ Doctor/Rose) and Martha seemed kinda put off by it, like she's used to men flirting right back at her.

I like that she is level headed and I do think she will be a good match for the Doctor, but I still miss Rose. So much that I went looking for Doctor/Rose fanfic last night on lj (and I've never read a DW fic) and I must say, the selection is pretty slim.

i'm kinda so-so on if I like her as a companion or not, I just started watching Dr. Who when Rose started so I'm stuck on her. Personally, I think Christopher Eccleston was a better Doctor but I like David Tennant more for some reason regardless. I'm waiting for Capt. Jack to show up, myself. Oh, I am soooooooooooo waiting for that!

Oh, and I miss Micky. A lot :'(

Oh god, I am so glad he isn't into her. To me, it just would not work. I'm thinking that he's not ready, and that she, since she's all growed up and stuff, is ok with not being with him-after all, like you said, there's some interaction between her and Charlie in the next episode, soooo she'll probably be able to get her own way through time and space.

Also, I have a feeling that flirting, if any, will be more playful than meaningful. You know, like James Bond and Miss Moneypenny, except the other way around-both know nothing will happen, but know it's fun to dance around a bit.

Aaahhh hahaahahahahaa Mickey. I was watching the first two seasons again with my brother (just introduced him to Dr Who, so we were watching the first two seasons before season three came out), and realised how funny he was, albeit a tad annoying at times. But he was sweet.

I'm about to start my re-watch of season 1 tonight, to fall asleep to. My roomie already said she's watch it so I plan on getting her hooked tomorrow. Since I don't even know when it comes on here (if it does at all) I dl all my DW so I have The Runaway Bride and Smith and Jones on my computer. It's how I watched all of Torchwood and various other shows I keep up with.

I adored Micky the later in season 2 that he was around, he really seemed to come into his own not only as a more fleshed out character rather than Rose's love lorn ex, but as a person (you know what I mean, as much a person as a character can be. I'm going to miss the supporting cast that came with Rose, like her mom and her dad. One thing I like is that the BBC said that Rose was written out that way so incase Billie ever wanted to come back she could. I'm really looking forward to this season though, maybe less angst and UST will do more for the plot because they seemed to really rely on Doctor/Rose UST a bit to much in season 2, but that's what made me ship them.

And that David Tennant in teh hotness.

Oh god. I can't believe I said Charlie. As in Shakespeare. I am an effing idiot. WILLIAM! AHH!! I can't believe I actually convinced myself that he was Charles Shakespeare.

I watch all on my laptop as well. Online though, so I don't use up all my space.

But I agree on season 2 relying on UST a bit much. Especially in New Earth, even though that was Cassandra, still. BUT, given how Rose and the Doctor had more of a buddy relationship in season 1, that was starting to grow more and more near the end, it makes sense how the progression worked out.

And, what was fab about Smith and Jones was how 10 said 'we were together', which TOTALLY made my day. Like, seriously, it made me that happy.

I cannot wait to get home to buy the DVDs now. Weeee!!!

I know! I caught that too!!!!

And does the Doctor kiss every companion? I mean, he kissed Martha (even though I know it was for a reason) and he kissed Rose in the end of Season 1 (even though she didn't remember).

And if you get a lot of weird "vinofaerie replied to your comment" emails for some reason it wouldn't let my reply to the teninch comment from you.

Sometime I get irked by lj.

Aaaaand yes, David Teninch is the hawtness that we all require in a doctor.

Dude, I read that to my roomie and we couldn't stop laughing!

Any chance he pulled a Pete and I could find that out for sure?

Hahahahahaa, no idea, but I saw him on The Friday Night Project, and turns out Billie's nickname for him was David Teninch, to which his girlfriend then responded by saying 'maybe twelve'

Ahh...a girl can dream, can't she? You can find the clips on youtube, btw, if you want to see.

Aaaaah, me too! I think part of it is that skinny white rock god that was really big back in the 60s and 70s.

If you're refering to Mr. Morrison he was my first lust of music when I was a teen. That's right, not a boi band, or some disney kid, but The Lizard King himself.

It was the hips.

oh yeah...
