Deathly Hallows, non-spoilery

I've been trying to post this since earlier but LJ has been iffy.

Well, I'm sure the lot of you have heard that someone broke into so-and-so's office with a digital camera and took pics of every page of DH. Last night before work just to see if it was true I dled something. Turns out it was fanfic, really long fanfic, but had a decent JKR-ery start. I didn't find this out until around 3a when I get off of work and I'm on myspace this ASSHOLE I work with posts a bulletin that says "THIS IS HILARIOUS!!!" and since his bulletins are usually pretty funny I openned. Guess what it was...... the list of who dies and what page their death happens on. Oh, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pissed. I mean, I was all worried about LJ but myspace didn't even hit me to worry about. The same guy is on lizzie9281</lj>'s myspace as well but somehow she managed to not read the whole thing. Instead of having another Dumbledore event like last year where every moment waiting for the book was hell because all I could think about was the death I made a decision. I found the real copy (which is literally photos of the book) and started to read. I'm 13 chapters in. I think at this point I can stop and put it down, but I was just so pissed that he even did that that it was the only thing I could do to not make myself think about it was confront it. On the way to work today I called everyone I knew that was one of my friends on Drew's (the asshat in question) myspace as well to warn them off.

I know Mindy and Liz are pissed at me because I have the book (however vague my copy is) but I think if I would have had the book right after knowing about Dumbledore that it wouldn't have ruined the book as much for me. So far I'm not looking for hidden signs the way I was for HBP.

I originally went looking for it out of curiosity to see if it was real, read the first few pages, and then wait until friday.

I love how most people in the HP community hate spoilers. They hate them so much, that if they themselves see them, they're not bitter enough to spread them around, because they KNOW how annoying spoilers are.

I also know HP peeps who heart spoilers, and I still love how they know not to tell those of us who hate them.

It's like this great, mutual respect around the community that gets effed up by those who decide to blab.

Don't try to decapitate me over the net now, but I'd like to know where I can find that list... I'd like to see it in order to decide whether to read the book or not (seeing I thought GoF was stupid, OotP sucked and HBP was just a retelling of my teenage sister's hormone-induced behavior with some really bad adventure stuff thrown in from time to time...)

I do understand you're angry, though :/

no decapitation needed, I know some people look for spoilers and want to know, so it doesn't bother me in the least. I just didn't want them.

I'll post them as a comment on an old entry to your lj just give me a few.

*huggles* I'm so sorry, hun. Most of my friends know that if they try to spoil me, they will die. Slow, painful, torturous deaths. That what this dickwad deserves. His lack of respect and morals is apalling.

Now that I'm done ranting...without spoilery details...how is it?

He doesn't read HP so he doesn't know how serious it is. Or at least was, for me, up until this.

Girl, it's wonderful. I'm still going to re-read it on friday (saturday) when I get it.

*snuggles extra hard* If it's that good, then I'm extra sorry it happened. Someone needs to wrap a rubberband around his balls until they die and fall off (if tight enough, it will happen and you can get the right rubberbands at a farm supply store in the animal section ;) ).

Thank you for allaying the fear that after all this build up and waiting that it would just suck. Now I'm relieved and excited!

I hope it is a good book.
Thank you for not stating anything about it. :)
I know it has to be hard.

I hope you liked it! I loved it!

And I would never ruin it for another HP person. Never.
