friend's cut

I've been thinking about this for a while and I think it's about time I do a friends cut. I hope this doesn't offend anyone but my flist is getting a bit long to read through and although I think all of you are awesome it just seems that I find myself skimming over more journals than I really read. I'm sure most of you do the same to me (I'm not looking for Oh! No I don't! I love to hear you whine about your X and your kid!). I know that for everyone on my journal at some point we were talking and probably had a lot in common but I've been on here for a few years and interests and people change.

I agree. I like myspace where I can check people's blogs if I feel like it and people can message me or respond to a bulletin if they have something they want to tell me. LJ is just really personal (for me, a lot personal) so I'm trying to keep my numbers down now.

yeah, and they no longer strikethrough, it's bolded now, right? What rubbish.

For me LJ is in a lot of cases a documentation of my life, because sometimes I need to go back and read old posts to get my head straight. When really random people latch on to it it's just odd to me, because I'm not that interesting and I'm not a BNF o.O

I have no idea what they're on about with all the new rules and things. What they seem to be forgetting is that teh "roots" of the HP community in LJ are all made of text and that can be relatively easy to relocate. The internet is big, and the USA aren't controlling all of it just yet. So if LJ pushes fandom too much people will go elsewhere.
