A quick and lovely post to say that I will be at the 12:20a screening of Eclipse at the newly renovated Canal Place Cinema. It's 18+ only admittance to all movies, reserved seating, and full service food and alcohol. I have no money to be partaking in either tonight but it's nice to have the option. Also, I repeat for emphasis... 18+ admittance ONLY.

Which means I will not be dealing with screaming preteens and teenagers tonight. My midnight show is better than yours!

I still can not walk properly. I have a doctor's appointment Thursday after work. So, yeah, after my first full day being back on my feet I get to see a doc about something that at that point will be a week old. But it's the soonest I could get in w/o getting stuck with the neo-nazi at the Family Doctor's office.

I really liked it! And the cinema wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be. The Malbec was smooth and fabulous, but they didn't dim the lights all the way because of the servers and I was aware of all my surroundings. I can see the appeal for some indy flick or a date when I'm not going to be too into the movie anyway but for Eclipse... I wanted dark theater and loud soundtrack. We're going to see it again next week at AMC for $5 during the day. Hell, if I want alcohol in a movie that bad I'll do what I usually do and sneak a bottle in my purse.

But the line, "Well, I am hotter than you."... yes, baby, walking around with your shirt off like that you are! But the Jacob/Bella kiss was no where near as hot as any of the Edward/Bella kisses. Taylor and Kristen lacked the chemistry that she has with Robert. And I need to say it, I hated Jasper's accent. He's barely talked in any of the other movies so I don't know if he was supposed to have it then but it was horrible. I think the flash backs were much better done this time, more believable and so much less cheesy.

Boo hiss for bad theatre experience. We're getting one of those fancy gourmet dinner and a movie places here and it doesn't seem all that appealing to me.

I'm going again tomorrow early evening because I need to see it again to take it all in. There was a lot of squeeing going on with my friends. This time I'll go alone for no distractions.

Kristen has ZERO chemistry with Taytay. I don't think anyone has chemistry with anyone. Now, Rob on the other hand...I don't think they did too much faking for the camera. *points to icon*

Jasper's always had that accent, but he's had so few lines no one's ever noticed it.

Everything about the movie was much better done, but a bigger budget and a director who knows what he's doing with FX really does make a difference. I took in the triple header and to see them back to back on the big screen makes me weep for what Twilight could've been in the hands of a real director. Of course, back then they didn't know what they had, or if anyone would actually care.

BTW, happy belated birthday! I saw the post jessicakmalfoy made. Great pressie for you, a better made movie!

Her and Rob's chemistry is off the charts. I think Taylor was more into the kiss than Kristen was, he seemed really sweet, but passion there was not.

Yeah, theater sucked. I was all excited at first and now I wish I would have waited out the screaming teenagers. Poop. They would have been more fun over the lackluster "crowd" we had.

I'm going to go back and watch Twilight and New Moon and pay close attention to Jasper. Not that I don't always pay close attention to my dearest Jackson, but I want to see if I can spot it. I never paid attention before, tbh.

I agree with the no one having any chemistry. Jasper and Alice are my favorite secondary couple in the books and they suck on screen. And not in that kinky vampire way.
